Yubi Bib, a participant in ‘Black and White Chef’ who confessed to illegal operations, hinted at a return after 8 months.
On the 16th, Yubi Bib posted a handwritten statement on his Instagram, stating, “Over the past 10 months, I have reflected on my life and the 20 years of my Bibim experience.”
He also bowed his head, saying, “I sincerely apologize to those who have been hurt due to my shortcomings.”
Yubi Bib expressed gratitude, mentioning that many people visited his restaurant in Jeonju Hanok Village to offer encouragement and support.
Additionally, he announced that he published a book related to Bibim last month, stating, “I will meet you with global Bibim content in the future.”
Yubi Bib gained recognition by appearing in the Netflix original variety show ‘Black and White Chef: Culinary Class War’ under the nickname Bibim King.
However, he suspended his activities after confessing to past illegal operations of his restaurant in November last year.
At that time, Yubi Bib confessed, “With a heavy heart, I want to confess my past mistakes. I have tried various businesses, including fruit vending, food stalls, and hair salons, but I failed repeatedly and operated a restaurant in an unlicensed area since 2003, which led to my arrest and a suspended sentence.”
He also revealed that he registered as a business operator for a traditional Korean food experience venue under his wife's name and operated it through loopholes. Due to this confession, he was completely edited out of several broadcasts, including tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block.’
