Annie, the daughter of Shinsegae Chairman Jeong Yu-kyung and a member of the group All Day Project, has clarified the ‘Chairman’ video that has become a hot topic.
On the 16th, All Day Project appeared as guests on MBC Radio’s ‘Kim Ina’s Starry Night’.
On that day, Kim Ina mentioned that a past video of Annie has recently gained attention. In the video, while Annie was live streaming from what appears to be her home, a voice of a man saying, “The chairman is coming in” can be heard.
In response, Annie said, “I didn’t expect it to become such a hot topic. In fact, it was quite a long time ago, so I don’t remember it exactly,” and added, “I thought, ‘What was that sound?’ and watched the video again myself.”
She continued, “If you listen closely, the phrase ‘The chairman is coming in’ is not clearly heard. It seems that someone did come in,” and explained, “That video is from a live broadcast 3-4 years ago. At that time, my mother was not the chairman, so there was no reason to use that title.”
Fans are speculating that the ‘chairman’ in the video refers to Annie’s mother, Chairman Jeong Yu-kyung. However, Chairman Jeong was promoted to chairman during the regular executive appointment in October last year, which does not match the timing of the video.
Meanwhile, Annie debuted as a member of the five-member co-ed group ‘All Day Project’, produced by former YG producer Teddy, on the 23rd of last month.
