‘The Actress Who Shocks’ Tammy, Was the Martial Arts Director of ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’

Tammy, a member of an idol group and an actress who is a former national taekwondo representative, was the martial arts director for the globally talked-about project ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’.

On the 14th, K-Tigers announced, “Tammy served as the martial arts director for all action sequences in the Netflix animation ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’.”

He is a former national taekwondo representative with a winning record at the World Taekwondo Championships, showcasing the essence of ‘K-Action’ through the action sequences of ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’.

This is the first time he has proudly taken on the role of martial arts director while also receiving calls from Hollywood to work as an actor.

‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ is a Netflix animated film that depicts the story of K-Pop superstars Lumi, Mira, and Joy secretly using their special abilities to protect their fans from supernatural threats.

In particular, their action sequences are highly praised for their immersive combat scenes that blend various kicking techniques, weapon skills with swords and spears, along with singing and dancing, centered around taekwondo.

K-Tigers Zero stated, “‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ is a symbolic work in terms of the expansion of K-Culture,” adding, “Tammy’s deep understanding of taekwondo and action composition greatly enhanced the quality of the work. We plan to continue collaborating with global content in the future.”

Tammy gained attention after appearing as a pretty taekwondo girl on SBS’s Star King in 2007 and is currently active as a member of the mixed group K-Tigers Zero and as an actress. She is also appearing on the popular SBS variety show ‘The Actress Who Shocks’. Additionally, she is currently cast as the lead in a Hollywood film and is undergoing test shoots.
