
Broadcasters Oh Sang-jin and Kim So-young made a capital gain of over 3 billion won by selling their owned building.
On the 10th, Hankyung.com reported, citing the real estate industry, that the couple purchased a building in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul for 2.3 billion won in 2017 in joint ownership with a third party, Mr. A, and recently sold it for 9.6 billion won.
As a result, Oh Sang-jin and Kim So-young, who each owned half of the building, and Mr. A will share the capital gain of 7.3 billion won generated during the transfer process, amounting to 3.65 billion won each.
The building was newly constructed in March 2020, with one basement level and five above-ground floors, and currently houses a restaurant. The location of the building is also said to be in a high-end commercial area near Hannam The Hill and the embassy street.
According to industry insiders, the rental deposit for the building is 300 million won, and the monthly rental income is around 28 million won, indicating stable tenant demand.
In this regard, Maeil Business Newspaper Star Today attempted to contact Oh Sang-jin's agency but could not reach them.
Oh Sang-jin joined MBC as a public announcer in 2005 and developed a romantic relationship with fellow announcer Kim So-young, marrying her in 2017. Currently, Oh Sang-jin is appearing on tvN's 'Freehan 19' and JTBC's 'Class that Changes the World'. Kim So-young is active as the representative of the bookstore 'Book Development Center' that she established.
