Nana, an actress from the group After School, revealed the reason for removing her tattoos, leaving only one.
On the 8th, a video titled 'Nana, Are You Doing Well~' featuring Nana as a guest was released on the YouTube channel 'TEO Teo'.
In the video, Jang Do-yeon asked, "Have you removed almost all your tattoos?" Nana replied, "Almost all have been removed," adding, "The pain is bearable. I can endure pain well."
Nana continued, "I didn't apply anesthetic cream and underwent the removal procedure five times in the beginning. I didn't apply it because it was bothersome," explaining, "The anesthetic cream needs to be applied for 3-4 hours to work properly, but how can I just sit there for that long? That time feels wasted."
When asked about the most painful areas during the removal, Nana said, "The chest line, ribs, and the tops of my feet were painful. Areas close to the bones tend to hurt more."
When Jang Do-yeon asked if there were any remaining tattoos, Nana revealed, "The only one left is the tattoo '1968' on my leg. It's the year my mom was born. I wanted to keep this one."
Nana mentioned that she removed her tattoos at her mother's request, saying, "After some time, my mom cautiously asked, 'What about removing them?' so I said, 'It can be done.'
She added, "There aren't many people like my mom. She's open-minded, and as we spend time together, she introduces me to all her friends. We drink and go to clubs together. On December 31, we went to a club together. My mom danced and had fun with my friends, and we said 'Happy New Year.' My mom is really a cool person. I want to be like her. I still have a lot to learn from her."
Nana shared, "One day, my mom told me this: 'When you were little, I dragged you along, and you had no choice but to come along and understand and accept it, right? Now that you are an adult, I have to understand and go along with what you've been doing since you were young. I think I have to endure it now.' She said, 'I feel like I need to repay you for what you did.' It was really touching. She was so cool."
Nana is set to release the movie 'All-Rounder' on the 23rd.
