Broadcaster Hong Jin-kyung has come under political color controversy after posting a photo of herself wearing red clothing a day before the 21st presidential election.

On the 2nd, Hong Jin-kyung shared several daily life photos taken at clothing stores and restaurants on her SNS.

The controversy arose because the outfit Hong Jin-kyung wore in the photos was red. Some speculated that she posted the photo wearing red clothing a day before the presidential vote to express a political stance.

The post received negative comments such as "I don't want to see this again," "I will unsubscribe," and "I don't think saying I didn't know will suffice." On the other hand, there were also responses warning against hasty speculation, saying, "Can’t she wear what she wants?" and "It's her freedom to wear blue or red."

Meanwhile, ahead of the presidential election, the political color controversy involving celebrities like Aespa's Karina and rapper Beenzino continues.

Karina posted a photo wearing a black jumper with the number 2 in red, and when the controversy arose, she stated, "I had no such intention at all, but the misunderstanding has grown. I will be more careful and pay more attention in the future."

Beenzino also posted a photo of himself in red clothing while parenting, along with the caption "World Red Day," and clarified, "There was really no political intention."
