Jung Hyun-kyu (27), the winner of Netflix's reality show ‘Devil's Plan 2’, has announced his future activities.

On the 1st, Jung Hyun-kyu released a video titled ‘Devil's Plan 2 Schedule Vlog’ on his YouTube channel ‘Jung Hyun-kyu’.

In the video description, Jung Hyun-kyu stated, “Through my participation in Devil's Plan, I was able to reflect, learn, and feel a lot. I apologize to those who felt uncomfortable, and I deeply thank everyone who supported and watched me.”

He added, “I will strive to become a better person in the future. I will read all the comments you leave about me and the program, and if I have the opportunity, I will provide feedback. I will continue to upload vlogs like this whenever I can.”

Jung Hyun-kyu won the final match against actress Yoon So-hee in ‘Devil's Plan 2’.

Although Jung Hyun-kyu secured the final victory, he sparked controversy with somewhat blunt remarks towards his opponent, a KAIST graduate, saying things like “Can you do math?” and “I won’t do it with you,” which seemed to belittle his opponent.

Additionally, he showed an inappropriate romantic vibe with Yoon So-hee, which drew criticism as it did not fit the nature of the program. In fact, Yoon So-hee received backlash from viewers for her inexplicable behavior, such as giving up opportunities to win.

In a recent media interview, Jung Hyun-kyu reflected, “After seeing the reactions following the broadcast, I started to question myself. I sincerely engaged in the competition to win, and it seems I made many people and viewers uncomfortable in the process. It’s my responsibility, and I apologize.”

After gaining attention through ‘Transit Love’ in 2022 and this year’s ‘Devil's Plan 2’, Jung Hyun-kyu stated that he has no plans for future broadcasting or entertainment activities.

Born in 1998, Jung Hyun-kyu entered Seoul National University’s Department of Physical Education after six attempts.
