Comedian Im Lara, who is pregnant, shared her struggles with morning sickness.
On the 29th, a video titled "The Gates of Hell Have Opened!! Lara Fainted from Morning Sickness" was released on the YouTube channel 'Enjoy Couple'.
In the video, Im Lara is seen unable to get out of bed, expressing her struggles by saying, "How do people do this? I wish someone would knock me out so I could keep sleeping."
Son Min-soo explained Im Lara's condition, saying, "She couldn't eat at all, but then something she wanted to eat would come to mind. If she eats that, she feels okay for about 10 minutes," adding, "It gets worse on an empty stomach."
Im Lara was trying to cope with morning sickness by eating food her husband brought, but she could hardly eat and kept putting it away, repeatedly soothing her stomach with ice water.
Im Lara said, "Even though I'm suffering like this, it must be worth it in the end," and added, "I didn't know creating a life would be this hard. It's so difficult that I can't even find mental victory." She continued, "I wish there was some other pain instead. I really hate this nauseous feeling."
She kept vomiting due to morning sickness. Im Lara tearfully said, "I don't even have the energy to move a finger. It's so hard."
Watching his wife's difficult morning sickness, Son Min-soo said, "The process of pregnancy and childbirth is long. Unfortunately, the woman has to give birth herself and goes through hormonal changes, which is tough. I try to help, but compared to Lara, my efforts are nothing."
He added, "I feel like I need to have the knowledge and expertise to care for the baby skillfully after it's born. I'm thinking of challenging myself to get a babysitter certification," determined to do his best.
Meanwhile, Im Lara and Son Min-soo got married in 2023. The couple is expecting twins through infertility treatment.
