MBC's Oh Seung-hoon (42) has received a 'Blood Donation Gold Medal' for consistently donating blood for an impressive 25 years.

On the 19th, Oh Seung-hoon announced this news through his social media.

He recalled, “I first donated blood in my second year of high school with a friend. At that time, I thought the only way to help someone was to use my body, so donating blood was a small way for me to express my care for others.”

He continued, “After doing it a few times, I began to doubt whether I was trying to feel proud of myself through blood donation. However, I came to believe that if I continued to help others, that would also have meaning.”

Additionally, he shared, “Receiving the gold medal this time allowed me to finally shake off that doubt. Since this is an achievement after 25 years, I truly feel proud today.”

Oh Seung-hoon received the gold medal after completing his 50th blood donation. He also explained the award system based on the number of donations, stating, “25 donations earn a silver medal, 50 donations earn a gold medal, and thereafter, awards are given for 100 and 200 donations. I am happy to receive the gold medal today.”

Meanwhile, Oh Seung-hoon began his broadcasting career in 2011 through MBC's special program 'Our Night - New Employees.' A graduate of KAIST and a bar exam passer, he is known as a 'brain' and is currently active as the host of MBC's 'PD Notebook.'
