‘Talk Partner 25’ offered a variety of sights, from the wonders of nature to beautiful man-made structures.

On the broadcast of JTBC's entertainment program ‘Talk Partner 25’ (directed by Hong Sang-hoon and Kim Seon-jun) aired on the 19th, guests included architect and author Oh Gi-saw, who enjoyed a virtual tour of Kauai in Hawaii, Istanbul in Turkey, a luxury home tour in Hong Kong, and an architectural tour in New York City.

On that day, the Hawaii talk partner explored Kauai, the oldest island in the Hawaiian archipelago, known as the "Garden Island." After encountering Hawaiian monk seals at Poipu Beach, they entered a lava cave where waves shot up into the sky at Spouting Horn, and showcased the mysterious scenery of Waimea Canyon, known as "Hawaii's Grand Canyon."

They also enjoyed a 4km mountain tubing experience using the canals created to draw water from Mount Waialeale when it was a sugarcane plantation. Yang Se-chan exclaimed, “It’s a natural water park,” while Jeon Hyun-moo remarked, “It’s a natural flume ride,” unable to take their eyes off the scenery. The boat tour also featured the Napali Coast, encounters with pods of dolphins and humpback whales, and snorkeling with turtles, which drew gasps of amazement.

Next, the Turkey talk partner enjoyed a full course in Istanbul, including the famous Old Tram at Taksim Square, a restaurant operated by Nusret Gökçe, the underground reservoir known as the Basilica Cistern, a food segment featuring mackerel kebabs known as Balık Ekmek, and a night cruise over the Bosphorus Strait. Notably, the Basilica Cistern was built using stones recycled from ancient imperial temples, resulting in a variety of column shapes, and the theories about why two Medusas are lying sideways or upside down piqued interest.

Meanwhile, in Hong Kong, an Asian financial hub where super-rich individuals gather, they took a look at the luxurious lives of the upper class. First, the Hong Kong talk partner visited a friend's penthouse located in one of the most expensive residential areas on the Kowloon Peninsula, West Kowloon, drawing attention with its luxurious interior and views of Victoria Harbour.

The luxury penthouse, which features a community with an indoor playground, cafeteria, reading room, and gym, was estimated to be worth around 21.7 billion won, with Alberto and Daniel correctly guessing the price. Additionally, the introduction of the extraordinary golf and accommodation facilities at a private club created by Adrian Cheng added to the excitement. The club membership costs about 500 million won and allows lifetime access for oneself, spouse, children, and parents, which was quite surprising.

Finally, in the heart of world architecture, New York, they explored the Flatiron Building, Grand Central Terminal, Empire State Building, and 30 Hudson Yards Building with the American talk partner. Among them, Grand Central Terminal, a representative example of Beaux-Arts architecture, attracted attention with the main hall where BTS performed and the secret basement M42 that was removed from the map. The talk partner who visited the 101st-floor restaurant at 30 Hudson Yards enjoyed a meal overlooking New York and shared a tip that the observation deck is free for those who spend over $40 in the building.

The viewership rating for the broadcast on the 19th was 2.8% in the metropolitan area and 2.8% nationwide, according to Nielsen Korea's paid households, with a target rating of 1.1% for men and women aged 20-49 in the metropolitan area.

JTBC’s ‘Talk Partner 25’ airs every Monday at 8:50 PM.
