Actress Hwang Jung-eum (42) firmly stated that she has "no thoughts" about remarrying, despite her father's strong opposition to it.
On the 13th, Hwang Jung-eum went on a date to meet her father in Jeju Island during the SBS Plus and E Channel entertainment program 'Solo Because'.
Hwang Jung-eum expressed her affection, saying, "My dad has been the strength that has allowed me to endure until now. Even after my parents' divorce, I saw him often and always visited when I wanted to see him," adding, "During my first divorce, I was in Jeju with my child, and my dad came down and has been with me in Jeju for five years."
She also mentioned, "My dad has always had a girlfriend. There has never been a time when he didn't," and expressed her warm support for her father's love life, saying, "I respect my dad's life. I hope he is happy."

Currently in the process of divorce mediation, she asked her father that day, "Is it better for me to remarry or not?"
Her father decisively replied, "You should never remarry." He continued, "Now you need to pursue what you want. However, you definitely need a friend with whom you can have a glass of wine in the evening," and advised her to "focus on the two children and be a responsible mother without any discrepancies."
Hwang Jung-eum agreed, strongly denying any thoughts of remarrying, saying, "I also have absolutely no thoughts about it." She added with a smile, "When I got married, my dad said, 'Even if you know ten paths in the water, you can't know one path in a person's heart.' I think I should introduce my boyfriend to my dad for his approval when I have one."
Hwang Jung-eum married former professional golfer Lee Yong-don in 2016. After four years of marriage, she filed for divorce mediation in September 2020, but they reconciled in July 2021. However, it was reported that they are once again in the process of divorce mediation as of February last year, three years after their reconciliation.
