Actor Kim Young-chul mentioned the challenges he faced during his filming abroad.

On the 21st, a press conference was held to celebrate the launch of KBS1's special pilot programs ‘7 Million Arirang’ and ‘Global Korean Journey: Kim Young-chul Goes’ at the KBS headquarters in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by actor Kim Young-chul, singer Choi Jeong-hoon of Jannabi, Kim Young-geun, the head of the Overseas Korean Cooperation Center, and PD Yoon Jin-kyu.

Kim Young-chul will be appearing in ‘Global Korean Journey: Kim Young-chul Goes,’ which will be broadcast over two days on the 28th and 29th.

Kim Young-chul meets overseas Koreans scattered around the world, delving into their lives and sharing deep stories that include their struggles. He visited San Francisco, USA, and Argentina.

On that day, Kim Young-chul commented on the overseas filming experience, saying, “I visited Argentina first, and it was so far away. It took almost 30 hours to arrive. I couldn’t sleep well while filming, and I couldn’t even think about whether it was day or night, or where I was,” adding, “I had a hard time adjusting to the time difference and just felt sleepy,” which brought laughter.

He continued, “Argentina was completely European. Everyone was European. In particular, it seemed that 80% of the people supported the soccer player Messi,” sharing an episode.

Along with ‘Kim Young-chul Goes,’ Choi Jeong-hoon also dives into the lives of overseas Koreans.

Choi Jeong-hoon will host the special program ‘7 Million Arirang,’ which will be broadcast on the 28th at 7:40 PM.

Choi Jeong-hoon, the vocalist of Jannabi, who has a unique musical world and emotional appeal that spans generations, participates in a global project to connect the ‘Arirang’ of 7 million overseas Koreans. With the support of the Overseas Korean Cooperation Center, Choi Jeong-hoon meets with overseas Korean youths visiting Korea and discusses their own versions of Arirang, exploring what Arirang means to the Korean people. After intense contemplation and work, the Arirang, which embodies the wishes of Jannabi and overseas Koreans around the world, will be revealed through this documentary.
