Actress Bae Doona (45) has revealed her health philosophy, emphasizing 'walking 10,000 steps' for body management.

On the morning of the 13th, Bae Doona appeared on SBS Radio's 'Park Ha-sun's Cine Town' and attracted attention by stating, “I prioritize exercise over a strict diet.”

She mentioned, “At our age, dieting can lead to injuries,” and confessed, “There was a time when I strictly adhered to a diet while training for a movie. I was using my body a lot but not recovering with nutrition, just continuously adding protein, which led to back injuries and headaches. I thought, ‘I could do this for a short time when I was young, but this is not sustainable,’ so I stopped dieting.”

She continued, “I don’t even understand why I need to be skinny, so I walk a lot according to my age. I walk 10,000 steps a day,” adding, “I walk and eat like an average person.”

Previously, she appeared as a table tennis player in the movie 'Korea' (directed by Moon Hyun-sung) and said, “I was in the table tennis club in elementary school. I love table tennis. If I need to lose weight, I can go to an automated table tennis hall and play with a robot. The balls come out automatically, and I hit them at a very fast speed. It’s the best indoor exercise,” emphasizing the importance of 'exercise' once again.

She also appeared on the YouTube channel 'Bibo TV' hosted by Song Eun-i and Kim Sook, where she responded to the question, “How do you maintain your weight?” by saying, “I actually think the power of deposits is significant,” but added, “Honestly, I don’t really know why I should lose weight. If it’s for health, then I should, but for those of us in this profession, there are times when we have to fit our bodies to our costumes, so we inevitably have to keep our weight within a standard.”

Meanwhile, Bae Doona is currently meeting audiences with her new film 'Virus' (directed by Kang Yi-kwan). The film depicts the unexpected journey of 'Taek-seon' (played by Bae Doona), who is infected with a 100% fatal virus that causes people to fall in love without reason, along with three men: the single researcher 'Soo-pil', her long-time classmate 'Yeon-woo', and the only expert who can create a cure, 'Lee-kyun'.
