Actor Jin Tae-hyun will undergo thyroid cancer surgery in June.
His agency, Mada Entertainment, announced on the 13th, "Jin Tae-hyun is scheduled to have thyroid cancer surgery in mid-June." Even after the surgery, Jin Tae-hyun will continue his broadcasting activities, including his appearance on the TBC entertainment program 'Divorce Counseling Camp.'
On the 8th, Jin Tae-hyun revealed through his YouTube channel, "I had a health check-up around April 21," and "Unfortunately, the fine needle aspiration test, which involves using a thin needle to extract cells from the lesion for examination, showed that I have thyroid cancer."
He stated, "(Currently) it is in the very early stage, but the test results confirmed it is 100% cancerous, so I need to have surgery quickly before it spreads to other areas," adding, "The good news is that if I have the surgery and manage it well, I can recover, so I decided to proceed with the surgery immediately."
Jin Tae-hyun has appeared in various works including the dramas 'White Lie,' 'Angel's Temptation,' 'Pumpkin Flower's Pure Love,' 'Gye Baek,' 'Oja-ryong Goes to the World,' and 'Hold My Hand.' He married Park Si-eun, whom he met through 'Pumpkin Flower's Pure Love,' after a 5-year relationship in 2015.
