Actor Cha Joo-wan has signed an exclusive contract with Blitzway Entertainment.
Blitzway Entertainment's CEO Hong Min-ki announced the news of the exclusive contract with Cha Joo-wan on the 13th, stating, "As an actor with delicate acting skills and a distinct presence, we will spare no effort in providing full support for his diverse activities in the future."
Cha Joo-wan started as a fashion model and made his acting debut through KBS2's 'School 2021'. He gained public attention by appearing in the music video for Aespa's 'Thirsty' in 2023 and received love from global viewers through the OTT drama 'Love's Ground Zero'.
In 'Love's Ground Zero', Cha Joo-wan played the role of 'Cha Yeo-woon', a popular guy who was the national champion in athletics. He received praise for capturing both the character's external charm and complex inner emotions. 'Love's Ground Zero' topped the Watcha real-time rankings and garnered a strong response on global OTT platforms, leading Cha Joo-wan to gain the title of 'BL God' and build a solid fan base.
Cha Joo-wan, who proved the global box office effect of the work by winning the Best Actor award in the web drama category at the 2024 Asia International Film Festival (AIFF) and being selected for the Rising Star award in the excellent actor category at the Korea Hallyu Entertainment Awards, continues to communicate with fans through domestic and international fan meetings.
Last year, Cha Joo-wan made a strong impression on screen by playing the role of 'Cheon Jin-tak', a soccer player, in the movie 'Victory'. Being a former soccer player himself, he is also actively participating in JTBC's 'Mungchyeo Chanda' Season 4.
