Actress Suhyun won the Best Supporting Actress award in the film category at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards.
Suhyun received the award for her role in the film 'Ordinary Family' at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards held on the 5th.
Now in its 61st year, the Baeksang Arts Awards is the only comprehensive arts awards ceremony in South Korea that encompasses broadcasting, film, and theater. Before the ceremony, on the red carpet, Suhyun drew attention in an elegant pink silk dress that fit perfectly.
When her name was called, Suhyun took the stage and began, "I am very grateful to director Heo Jin-ho for allowing me to act as a member of 'Ordinary Family'."
She continued, "I had so much fun going to the filming set that I was sad to go home. I want to thank everyone who created such an environment. I was also really happy to act alongside seniors Seol Kyung-gu, Jang Dong-gun, and Kim Hee-ae," expressing her heartfelt gratitude to her colleagues in 'Ordinary Family.'
In 'Ordinary Family,' Suhyun successfully transformed her acting by portraying the character Jisoo, who is meticulous about self-management and has a cool personality. As a character who observes the flow and essence of events from the most neutral perspective, she subtly varied her speech and tone of voice according to the character's growth, and her delicate and dense performance, which infused emotions and meanings into even the smallest gestures, received high praise from the audience.
Suhyun has confirmed her next project as the new JTBC drama 'God's Bead.'
