Actress Oh Yoon-ah confessed that she experienced a lot of stress during her battle with thyroid cancer.
On the broadcast of SBS Plus and E Channel's 'Solo Because' on the 6th, Oh Yoon-ah's daily life was depicted.
On that day, Oh Yoon-ah said, "I had thyroid cancer surgery in 2010. Recently, for the first time in 15 years, I increased the dosage of my medication. The doctor said I could stop taking the medication, but I think I was under a lot of stress last year," explaining the symptoms caused by stress.
Recalling her battle with thyroid cancer, Oh Yoon-ah said, "I was really surprised when I had the thyroid cancer surgery. (Due to the developmental disability diagnosis) it was hard to care for my child, and my relationship with my husband worsened. I was very afraid that my family would break apart. So I was very cautious at that time. I suppressed my stress and smiled while filming outside. The doctor said, 'It seems like it manifested in your body because you didn't show it outwardly.'
She continued, "At that time, I didn't say a word. I didn't show any signs to others. I had been tested at another hospital, and the doctor said, 'You're not the type to get cancer, so why did you get it? It must have been really severe stress.' At that time, I was very concerned because I knew my child was sick. So I was under excessive stress. That's how cancer developed."
