
Actress Shin Go-eun and Yoon Jong-hwa have faced a separation after three years of marriage.
On the 1st, Shin Go-eun posted on Instagram, "I have been contemplating for a long time whether to write this or not," and added, "Many are curious, and I feel I should share this part of my life moving forward, so I am posting a short message."
She continued, "It has been almost half a year since we ended our three-year marriage and started living our own lives. Our values and personalities were very different, and despite many efforts, it did not work out. We have decided to live our lives diligently and to the best of our abilities in our respective places from now on."
Shin Go-eun expressed, "I feel very sorry to share this news with those who have shown interest and blessed us," and added, "Please be careful of catching a cold in this weather with a big temperature difference, and I hope you have a good day."
Shin Go-eun and Yoon Jong-hwa met through the MBC daily drama 'Bad Love' in 2019, and their relationship developed into a romantic one shortly after the drama ended in June 2020. They got married in May 2021 but announced their divorce three years later.
Shin Go-eun debuted as a singer in 2011 and gained recognition for her singing ability, starting her musical career with 'The Palace' and appearing in works such as 'Those Days', 'Laundry', and 'I Loved You'. She took on leading roles in dramas starting with 'The Lady in Dignity' in 2018, followed by 'Gangnam Scandal' and 'Bad Love'.
Yoon Jong-hwa, the brother of announcer Yoon Hyun-jin, debuted in 2005 with the MBC drama 'Love Song' and has appeared in 'Air City', 'Jewel Bibimbap', 'The World They Live In', and 'You Are Too Much'. In 2015, he was suddenly diagnosed with spinal cancer while filming the MBC drama 'Love of Eve', but returned to acting a year after his complete recovery with the drama 'THE K2'. He has since appeared in works such as 'Imong' and 'Bad Love'.
