In the midst of claims that Hangyeol from 'Your Love' received an inappropriate proposal from fellow cast member Liwon, Liwon has denied these allegations.
On the 1st, Liwon posted on her social media, "The story shared by another cast member is not true at all. That cast member learned about my past inappropriate broadcasting activities after the show ended, and it seems that the exchanges and scenes we shared during the show left them with burdensome memories."
Earlier that day, Hangyeol claimed that he received an inappropriate proposal from Liwon, which he rejected. Hangyeol stated, "I want to mention that I am not the only one who received a similar proposal," and added, "False claims of having sorted out the past should not be used as a mask to easily induce sexual orientation in this industry."
In response, Liwon said, "I am someone who has done things that anyone can point fingers at in the past, and the other cast member is still young and at a time when their image is important, so they might have been afraid of being associated with me. I respect that feeling and sincerely apologize for any damage to their image caused by me."
However, she clarified that she did not make any inappropriate proposals to Hangyeol. Liwon explained, "The part about the 'overseas schedule' that they mentioned was just a light-hearted conversation about traveling to that country while discussing our similar food preferences during filming. It was a simple promise made in front of the camera."
She continued, "I am well aware that the broadcasts I participated in were inappropriate and that my actions should be criticized socially. Therefore, I absolutely did not involve the same cast member in that matter, nor do I intend to." She emphasized again, "I sincerely apologize for causing discomfort to those who just wanted to quietly watch the show because of my participation."
Wave's original entertainment program 'Your Love' is the first lesbian dating show in Korea. However, after the release of episodes 1 and 2 on the 25th of last month, allegations arose that cast member Kim Liwon had previously worked as an adult broadcast BJ and had dated men.
In response to the controversy, Kim Liwon acknowledged that she had worked as an adult broadcast BJ for about three years but clarified that there were no inappropriate encounters with viewers. Regarding the allegations of dating men, she stated, "While I have met both women and men in a desire to deny myself, I am a woman who loves women."
