
BTS has secured the top spot in boy group brand reputation.
According to the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, the analysis of big data for boy group brand reputation in April 2025 revealed that BTS ranked first, followed by Seventeen in second place and SHINee in third.
The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute measured 63,170,845 pieces of big data on boy group brands from March 12, 2025, to April 12, 2025, analyzing consumer behavior to assess participation index, media index, communication index, and community index for boy group brands. This represents a 6.31% increase compared to the 59,419,864 pieces of brand big data from March.
The brand reputation index is a metric created through brand big data analysis, revealing that consumers' online habits significantly influence brand consumption. The analysis of boy group brand reputation can measure positive and negative evaluations, media interest, and the level of consumer engagement and communication. Data from consumer participation in brand reputation recommendations is also included as weighted factors.
BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook), which ranked first in boy group brand reputation, had a participation index of 145,974, media index of 1,528,550, communication index of 2,370,804, and community index of 3,572,279, resulting in a brand reputation index of 7,617,606. This is a 9.12% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 6,980,701 in March.
Seventeen (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino), which ranked second, had a participation index of 203,034, media index of 1,218,856, communication index of 1,898,144, and community index of 2,885,088, resulting in a brand reputation index of 6,205,121. This is a 3.95% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 5,969,482 in March.
SHINee (Onew, Key, Minho, Taemin), which ranked third, had a participation index of 34,969, media index of 830,350, communication index of 1,654,475, and community index of 1,793,569, resulting in a brand reputation index of 4,313,364. This is a 43.87% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 2,998,172 in March.
BIGBANG (G-Dragon, Taeyang, Daesung), which ranked fourth, had a participation index of 93,502, media index of 809,096, communication index of 973,327, and community index of 1,532,271, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,408,197. This is a 22.01% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 4,369,863 in March.
Stray Kids (Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, I.N), which ranked fifth, had a participation index of 71,377, media index of 960,989, communication index of 955,797, and community index of 1,089,481, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,077,645. This is a 47.93% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 2,080,478 in March.
Director Koo Chang-hwan stated, “The analysis of big data for boy group brand reputation in April 2025 shows that BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) ranked first. The boy group brand category saw a 6.31% increase compared to the 59,419,864 pieces of boy group brand big data from March. A detailed analysis shows a 16.27% decrease in brand consumption, a 5.25% decrease in brand issues, a 14.35% increase in brand communication, and a 10.59% increase in brand spread.”
He continued, “In the link analysis for the boy group brand reputation in April 2025, the keywords ‘donate, record, break through’ were highly analyzed. In the keyword analysis, ‘J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook’ were highly analyzed. The positive-negative ratio analysis showed a positive ratio of 91.59%. A detailed analysis of BTS's brand reputation shows a 0.66% increase in brand consumption, a 5.68% increase in brand issues, a 1.99% increase in brand communication, and a 16.56% increase in brand spread.”
