Following the school violence controversy, actress Jisoo (real name Kim Ji-soo), who is currently active in the Philippines, has dismissed rumors of a friendship with actor Kim Soo-hyun.
On the 7th, Jisoo appeared on the Philippine broadcast 'Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collaboration Edition.'
When asked about her relationship with Kim Soo-hyun, Jisoo stated, "I have never met him personally." This has led some to interpret that she is distancing herself from Kim Soo-hyun, who has been accused of dating the late Kim Sae-ron while she was a minor.
Jisoo and Kim Soo-hyun were both previously affiliated with KeyEast. However, Kim Soo-hyun was with KeyEast from 2010 to 2019, while Jisoo signed an exclusive contract in 2020 but left the agency in 2021 due to the school violence controversy.
In March 2021, Jisoo was embroiled in school violence allegations, leading her to withdraw from the drama she was starring in and enlist in the military for a period of self-reflection. After expressing her intention to return via YouTube last August, she has been active in the Philippines.
Kim Soo-hyun is currently engaged in a truth battle with the family of the late Kim Sae-ron. Previously, the family claimed through the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute that Kim Sae-ron had been in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun for six years, from November 19, 2015, when she was in the third year of middle school, until July 7, 2021, and that after leaving her agency, they sent a notice for repayment of 700 million won, psychologically pressuring her.
In response, Kim Soo-hyun held a press conference on the 31st of last month, expressing his frustration, stating, "It is true that I was in a relationship with the deceased, but we never dated during her minor years, nor did I apply any financial pressure." He added, "I will reveal the truth through various materials via investigative agencies," shedding tears.
Kim Soo-hyun has filed a lawsuit against the family of the late Kim Sae-ron and the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute for violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, among other charges, and is seeking 11 billion won in damages.
