Singer Younha (Go Younha, 37) has been revealed to be married to the famous science YouTuber Science Cookie (Lee Hyo-jong, 36).
On the 31st, a media outlet reported that Younha held her wedding with Science Cookie on the 30th at 6 PM in a hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. The couple had a small wedding attended by family, relatives, and close friends.
‘Science Cookie’ is a science YouTuber with a background as a physics teacher, delivering scientific knowledge in an easy and fun way. He currently has 440,000 subscribers. His YouTube video series was selected as an excellent science cultural product by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity in 2018.
In response, a representative from C9 Entertainment stated to Maeil Business Star Today, “As it is the artist's personal life, we ask for your understanding that we cannot confirm information about her husband at the agency level.”
Younha and Science Cookie are known to have developed their relationship through a shared interest in science, eventually tying the knot.
Younha, who debuted in 2006, has released numerous hit songs with lyrics and titles related to space and science, including ‘Event Horizon’, ‘Oort Cloud’, and the Korean title of a comet, ‘Salbyeol’. Younha and Science Cookie held their wedding three years after the release of ‘Event Horizon’.
