Actor Park Hyung-jun showed interest in matchmaker Jeon Hee-jung.
In the episode aired on the 23rd, tvN STORY’s ‘Can We Love Now’ depicted Park Hyung-jun's first matchmaking scene.
On that day, Park Hyung-jun said, “I am really shy about these things and I’m not good at dating. But for some reason, I don’t know if this is my destiny, but I ended up coming out here,” explaining his reason for appearing on ‘Can We Love Now’.
Regarding why he hasn’t married, Park Hyung-jun revealed, “I think I’m not qualified. It’s hard to live alone, and I have nothing to show for myself. Although I’m called an actor, I’ve been active for over 30 years, and ‘The Last Match’ was really my last chance.”
He continued, “I thought, ‘Can my life really end without marriage, without children, without ever showing my parents a grandchild?’ I had a great fear of marriage. Now that I’m middle-aged, I wonder if I can do it.”
Park Hyung-jun's matchmaker was fashion designer Jeon Hee-jung. Jeon Hee-jung has been working as a fashion designer for over 20 years and is currently running her own business while also doing design consulting in China. She is fluent in both Chinese and English, managing a business that operates between Korea and China.
Jeon Hee-jung said, “When I was about to go to college, ‘The Last Match’ and ‘General Hospital’ were popular. I really liked them back then.” To this, Park Hyung-jun smiled and said, “I took it as a sign of interest that she came out. I was grateful that she remembered the dramas I did in the past.”
Park Hyung-jun and Jeon Hee-jung found common ground through sports. Park Hyung-jun said, “I like people who are good at sports.” However, when Jeon Hee-jung mentioned that she wasn’t good at sports, he quickly added, “I also like people who enjoy sports.”
Park Hyung-jun and Jeon Hee-jung played tennis and spent the evening together. After their date, Park Hyung-jun expressed, “Don’t we always live with regrets? Many connections must have passed by in the past, and we might have missed them. Today, we’ve connected again, and I started to think about how to continue this connection.”
Jeon Hee-jung also smiled and said, “I was glad to have someone who listened to my story. I think it was nice to meet someone with whom I could enjoy a pleasant conversation over delicious food, someone I could potentially date.”
