Members of the girl group (G)I-DLE, Minnie, Wugi, and Shuhua, have conveyed their warm hearts through a relay donation to support the recovery from the recent wildfires that occurred nationwide and to assist the victims.

The Korean Red Cross (Chairman Kim Cheol-soo) announced on the 31st that (G)I-DLE members Minnie, Wugi, and Shuhua each donated 100 million KRW, totaling 300 million KRW, for the recovery from the wildfire damage in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, Ulsan, and other areas nationwide, as well as to support the wildfire rescue workers and victims.

The three members stated, “We felt heavy-hearted upon hearing that many people are suffering due to the sudden wildfires. We hope our small contribution can help the victims recover quickly. We also want to express our deep gratitude and support to everyone working on the ground.”

(G)I-DLE members have emphasized the value of sharing through communication with their fans, and this donation once again showcases their positive influence.

The donated funds will be used for emergency relief activities and long-term recovery projects in the wildfire-affected areas through the Korean Red Cross. In particular, the significant amount of 300 million KRW, with each member donating 100 million KRW, is expected to greatly support the stabilization of the victims' lives and the assistance of personnel on-site.

Chairman Kim Cheol-soo of the Korean Red Cross stated, “This will be a great comfort to the personnel dedicated at disaster sites and to our neighbors in pain,” and added, “I hope the positive influence of Minnie, Wugi, and Shuhua will serve as an opportunity to bring hope to more people.”
