YouTuber MimiMimiNu explained the reasons behind her success as a creator.
On the 28th, the 'MBN Y Forum', a mentoring festival for youth in their 20s and 30s, was held at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium. The 'MBN Y Forum' embodies a vision for the youth of 2030 to extend their aspirations globally, seeking paths for personal and national prosperity while creating a hopeful world together. This year's theme for the 'MBN Y Forum' is 'Paint your Colors!'
In the afternoon, lectures by various speakers took place. The opening performance was by Song So-hee. Following that, speeches were given by Yoo Seung-min, President of the Korean Sports Council, mixed martial artist Choo Sung-hoon, YouTuber Shim Eui-ddeum, founder of 'Red Helicopter' James Lee, LE SSERAFIM's Heo Yoon-jin, YouTuber MimiMimiNu, Deputy Manager of the Korea Railroad Corporation's SNS team Kang Ha-young, and YouTube channel Tabb's Yoon Tae-yong, Kim Gyu-nam, and Yoon Hyuk-jun.
YouTuber MimiMimiNu stated, "I hope my viewers receive a positive influence from me. No matter how much money I make, if I can't provide a positive impact, I don't think I can find ultimate happiness."
She continued, "Ten to fifteen years ago, there was no such profession as a creator. This profession didn't exist until high-traffic social media platforms flourished in Korea, and I was lucky. Luck is created when preparation meets opportunity. Many opportunities pass by, and you have to work hard to seize them. I didn't neglect hard work before becoming a creator. I worked hard to get into university, and that's why I could ride the wave of becoming a creator."
She added, "Creators need to have both universality and specificity. They should be relatable yet unique. Initially, you need to be unique to get your name out there, but ultimately, you need to prepare content that encompasses all generations. For me, education was life, and my parents were typical (Korean) parents, which allowed me to create content on entrance exams and education based on my fulfilling life."
MimiMimiNu offered her final advice to the youth regarding 'happiness'. She said, "The answer lies in the fulfillment of each day. If you accomplish daily goals, enjoy your favorite food, and watch videos you like, I believe you can reach the happiness you envision as happiness accumulates. I encourage you to have fulfilling days."
Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, the 'MBN Y Forum' is an annual youth mentoring festival aimed at inspiring the younger generation of 2030, who will lead the future of South Korea. It is designed as a unique festival where participants can communicate, enjoy, and learn together, featuring various events such as archery, bicycle stepping, mini curling, speed pitching, and golf putting, allowing for both competition and cooperation while naturally fostering a sense of community. The goal is to discover one's unique colors and embark on a journey of coloring the world together.
