The '34th Seoul Music Awards' has started fan voting today (24th).
On this day, the Seoul Music Awards Organizing Committee announced the start of mobile voting for the 34th Seoul Music Awards.
This year's Seoul Music Awards will be held on June 21 at the Inspire Arena. Active participation from each artist's fandom is expected, which will undoubtedly reflect in the selection of winners.
Voting will take place through the official voting app 'K-POP SEOUL' and partner apps 'My One Pick' and 'Fandom Chart'. It has begun alongside the announcement of nominees in major categories such as the main award, rookie award, popularity award, and Hallyu special award. In particular, the popularity award (domestic voting) and Hallyu special award (overseas voting), as well as the K-POP SEOUL CHOICE group/solo categories, will be selected entirely through fan voting, anticipating high interest from global K-POP fans.
Voting will be conducted in two phases. The first phase of voting will take place from March 24 at 12 PM to April 12 at 11:59 PM, and the second phase will run from April 21 at 12 PM to May 10 at 11:59 PM. The results will be announced on the day of the awards ceremony.
The criteria for nominee selection are based on Circle Chart data for albums and digital music released from January 2024 to March 2025, where artists who have shone in K-POP over the year will compete.
Previously, the Rising Star category, which has been ongoing since February 24, is also experiencing fierce competition as voting continues. In the first round of voting for the Rising Star category, which involved a total of 60 teams, half of them, 30 teams, advanced to the second preliminary round. After the second preliminary round, which ended at midnight on the 24th, a total of 10 teams will compete for the Seoul Music Awards stage.
The first place was secured by BIBIUP, while PAU, AT2MAJOR, UNITE, TNX, ONEFACT, EVEN, LUNATE, FANTASY BOYS, and TEMPEST made it to the final 10 teams. The final preliminary round for the Rising Star category will take place from May 19 to June 1.
The Rising Star category was established by the Seoul Music Awards Organizing Committee to support stage opportunities for artists from small and medium-sized agencies. It targets idol groups that debuted between January 2022 and December 2024.
The 'Seoul Music Awards' is a representative music awards ceremony in South Korea that has been held since 1990, playing an important role in enhancing the global status of K-POP.
