The group Highlight successfully concluded their fan concert and made a surprise announcement for a full group comeback in April.
Highlight held their 2025 fan concert 'Welcome to the Hi-Mart' at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on the 8th and 9th.
On this day, Highlight transformed into new employees of Hi-Mart: Yoon Doo-joon as the new employee, Yang Yo-seob as the deputy manager, Lee Gi-kwang as the manager, and Son Dong-woon as the representative of the Gen Z generation, warmly welcoming the 'customers' (official fandom name) who visited the concert venue with a lively skit. They then showcased their unique chemistry by carrying out various missions in line with the unusual concept of a 'Best Employee Selection Event.'
To embody the virtues of an excellent employee, Highlight alternated between individual and team competitions, performing a variety of missions from guessing product names to arranging items and counting money. Games utilizing familiar items found in a supermarket were presented differently across the two days of performances. In particular, the four members showcased their passionate competitive spirit along with exceptional athleticism and sense, providing an entertaining experience that was hard to take your eyes off. The final game included a meaningful moment where they presented the audience with a variety of gifts, including concert merchandise.
In the second half, well-made live performances brought the excitement in the venue to a peak. Highlight conveyed romantic emotions with 'I Have to Go to Work' and 'S.I.L.Y (So I Love You)', and the selection of 'Classic' and 'So Hot', which had not been performed since the fan concerts in 2022 and 2023, amplified the emotional experience. The song 'Give You My All', performed on a protruding stage while interacting with the audience, also received a warm response.
The exciting performance of hit songs such as 'Beautiful Night', 'Don't Frown', and 'BODY' followed with Yoon Doo-joon pressing the karaoke remote, leading to a chorus of cheers from the audience. Additionally, bridge videos featuring the members showcasing their flavorful character performances according to their titles and a cookie video with a concept of preparing to leave work provided moments of joy in between.
During the encore time, Highlight made a surprise appearance again from the audience and floor, singing 'Freeze', followed by 'V.I.U (Very Important U)', 'Lovely Day', and 'Good Night', capturing the fans' hearts until the very end.
Notably, the news of Highlight's comeback in April was first revealed through a spoiler video towards the end of the performance. According to this, Highlight will pre-release a new song from their upcoming album on April 16 and officially return with the full album release on April 28. The first reveal of the poignant pre-release track and snippets of the new title track in a hip style captivated the ears with their distinct charms.
Having successfully wrapped up the fan concert, Highlight has energetically opened the door to their full group activities in the new year, raising expectations for what they will show in their comeback activities after about a year.
