Broadcaster Park Kyung-rim (46) is taking on a new challenge as a 'Creative Director' after 28 years in the entertainment industry, through the musical 'Dream High'.

The show musical Again 'Dream High', set to perform from April 5 to June 1 at the Woori Financial Art Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, is based on the drama of the same name starring Kim Soo-hyun and Bae Suzy, which aired on KBS2 from January to February 2011. It depicts the story of the protagonists after graduating from high school. After its premiere in May 2023, it returns for an encore performance two years later.

In an interview on the 11th at With Dream Company in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, Park Kyung-rim stated, "I became involved as a Creative Director because it is an exciting task. The connection started two years ago during the premiere event. 'Dream High' is a musical created while considering ways for dancers to earn a steady income. As I studied the work, I felt moved."

The encore performance of 'Dream High' features Kim Dong-jun, Seven, Youngjae (GOT7), JinJin (ASTRO), Kang Seung-sik, Yoon Seo-bin, Jang Dong-woo (INFINITE), Choo Yeon-seong, Kim Dong-hyun, Yoo Kwon (Block B), Lim Se-jun, Sun-ye, Luna, and others. Notably, many idols are participating.

Park Kyung-rim explained, "'Dream High' has a strong performance aspect. I felt that the story was a bit lacking, so this time we made the story a bit more solid. To perform well, one must dance well. Since the performance, singing, and acting must be done well for two and a half hours, many idols are appearing."

As a Creative Director, Park Kyung-rim's role knows no bounds. She proposed creating an OST and even personally recruited actors Kim Soo-hyun, Suzy, and IU, who appeared in the original drama 'Dream High', as vocalists.

Park Kyung-rim stated, "If the roles of director, actors, and promotion are defined, the Creative Director does everything overall. I come up with all the ideas to make this performance successful." She added, "The profits from the OST will be used to support children preparing for independence. I hope people see the good purpose and contribute their talents. Even if the expected OST profits do not materialize, I plan to fill the gap and donate."

Park Kyung-rim will also take the stage in the role of principal. This marks her return to the musical stage after 16 years since playing Tracy in the musical 'Hairspray' in 2009.

Park Kyung-rim shared, "I initially intended to only be involved as a Creative Director, but I heard that it would be nice if I could also play a role. At first, I had no intention of doing so, but as I practiced together, I realized what 'Dream High' needed. So, I decided to join in." She added with a smile, "To ease any concerns, I will dance one number and sing a duet."

Finally, Park Kyung-rim expressed, "Unlike movies and dramas, musicals have a unique charm. There is vibrancy, excitement, and exhilaration. While serious and historical musicals are good, I personally prefer fun and hopeful musicals. Life is not just about enjoyable things. In the midst of enduring life, the feeling of excitement and thrill in that moment brings happiness. 'Dream High' is such a musical." She urged, "Regardless of age, I hope everyone comes and feels the vibrant energy. It's okay to reflect on dreams or to dream new ones. I hope you come and dream freely."
