Broadcaster Seo Jeong-hee will marry before her daughter Seo Dong-joo.
On the 10th, Seo Jeong-hee will join the new lovestruck couple in the TV CHOSUN documentary entertainment show “Lovestruck of Joseon” with her 6-year-younger fiancé, architect Kim Tae-hyun.
“I want to show our unembellished selves. Isn’t life the same for everyone?” said Seo Jeong-hee, hinting at the fresh and exciting moments of love, which she describes as “first love in her 60s.”
She shared, “Just hearing the words ‘I love you’ every day is thrilling. We always tell each other we love each other through texts,” adding, “I haven’t expressed it much before, but doing it more often feels even better,” revealing their sweet daily life together.
In the preview, Seo Jeong-hee, showing her bare face, said, “I have let go of everything now. Whether I look unattractive or pretty, I’m happy to have someone who can love me as I am,” and expressed her disappointment, saying, “I struggled with a cold throughout the filming. My immune system isn’t good, so I get tired easily and my condition is worse than before.” She continued, “Still, we were able to finish the filming well, supporting each other with joyful hearts.”
Seo Jeong-hee, who is set to be a “May bride,” said, “Since it’s a late marriage, I didn’t think of a lavish wedding from the beginning. I suggested we have a simple vow ceremony at home,” expressing her expectation that “it will be a quiet wedding, ‘like flowers falling and leaves becoming visible,’ without any fuss.”
Before revealing her home, filled with her personal tastes, Seo Jeong-hee mentioned, “In the morning, (my boyfriend and I) wake up together, pray, meditate, and transcribe the Bible... I really enjoy sharing a simple breakfast at the table with coffee,” and added, “I also love the time spent together listening to music or dozing off while watching movies, looking at the moss garden from the sofa in the basement.”
Finally, she expressed her gratitude towards Kim Tae-hyun, saying, “He comforted me when I felt powerless after being sick, and we enjoy nature together, hiking and discovering the joys of everyday life,” and added, “I’ve never known that the joy of doing anything together could be this wonderful,” appreciating him as her “life partner.”
