Actor Kim Nam-gil is taking the initiative to promote Yun Dong-ju on the occasion of March 1st.

Kim Nam-gil collaborated with Professor Seo Kyung-duk from Sungshin Women's University to release a multilingual video introducing the poet and independence activist Yun Dong-ju. The 5-minute video, produced as part of KB Kookmin Bank's 'The Republic of Korea Survived' campaign, is available in both Korean and English.

This video sheds new light on Yun Dong-ju's life, humanity, and the various meanings contained in his poetry. Above all, it details his unwavering spirit of independence, even while being arrested and tried by the Japanese colonial authorities. Notably, this year marks the 80th anniversary of his death, and the video features a generative AI representation of Yun Dong-ju, capturing attention.

Professor Seo Kyung-duk stated, "It is the most important task for our generation to re-examine independence activists who are gradually being forgotten by the public and to widely share their lives through video." He added, "We are spreading it not only on YouTube but also through various social media platforms, and we are sharing the video with major Korean and international student communities around the world."

Kim Nam-gil, who provided the Korean narration, expressed, "I am happy to introduce Yun Dong-ju's life through my voice," and added, "I hope many netizens both domestically and internationally will watch it."
