Martial artists Kim Tae-in and Sekino Taisei will face off again after a year.
On the afternoon of the 26th, a press conference for 'Gubne ROAD FC 072' was held at the Emerald Hall of the Swiss Grand Hotel in Hong-eun-dong, Seoul. Key fighters participating in the event on March 16, including Yoon Hyung-bin, Banz, Kim Tae-in, Sekino Taisei, Hwang In-soo, Lim Dong-hwan, Park Si-won, Nandin Erden, Lee Jung-hyun, and Ko Dong-hyuk, attended and participated in a Q&A session.
Kim Tae-in and Sekino Taisei, who faced each other in the heavyweight championship match last April, will meet again after a year. During the photo time, the two showed their competitive spirit by rushing at each other.
Kim Tae-in said, "I wanted to make it explosive, but now we have to fight, and it's a love-hate relationship. (The photo time) was pre-discussed and was part of the showmanship. I know he is a friend who trains hard sincerely. I am preparing for a bloody fight."
He continued, "There is a big difference in Sekino Taisei's skills from last year to this year. I couldn't show 100% in the last match, but I am raising it to 200%." When asked about fans' comments regarding his declining stamina, he jokingly responded, "Who are you to say that? What about my stamina? Just watch. I will make it fun."
Sekino Taisei stated, "I want to show a good match as a fighter, and I will train hard until the day of the match. Since we both don't have much stamina, the conclusion will come quickly, but I will show a good match, falling like a zombie but not actually falling."
Kim Tae-in, the winner of the last match, performed a stunt of tearing Sekino Taisei's suit after the match. Sekino Taisei said, "I received a new custom suit as a gift from a friend. If I win this time, I want to receive a new suit from the president and a Porsche from Kim Tae-in." To this, Kim Tae-in responded, flustered, "That's difficult. If I win, I will show you around Korea. Get in the passenger seat of the Porsche."
'Gubne ROAD FC 072' will be held on March 16 at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul. The match between Yoon Hyung-bin and Banz will be revealed at 'Gubne ROAD FC 073' on June 28.
