Hook Entertainment, after the departure of CEO Kwon Jin-young, has changed its name to Chogokbam Entertainment and is embarking on a new leap forward.
The former Hook Entertainment has undertaken a name change to Chogokbam Entertainment, focusing on transformation and renewal, expressing its determination for a vigorous leap towards growth. This change was initiated after Chogokbam Media, the parent company of Hook Entertainment, was acquired by a fund managed by private equity firm 'Q Capital' at the end of 2024, seeking a full-scale renewal and fresh start.
Chogokbam Entertainment has begun significant improvements, including a complete overhaul of its management team, to maximize synergy within the group’s businesses and enhance growth value, thereby increasing its competitiveness in the media content market.
To establish a strong position in the actor-centered entertainment business, where the organic relationship between content and artists is key, Chogokbam Entertainment has recruited Vice President Yoo Hoon-hee, who possesses top-level capabilities and expertise in the industry. Yoo Hoon-hee is a professional with about 25 years of experience in leading domestic entertainment companies and was selected for his rich experience and achievements in nurturing the capabilities of affiliated actors.
With the recruitment of Vice President Yoo Hoon-hee, Chogokbam Entertainment aims to maximize its strategies for discovering and attracting competitive artists, as well as developing new rookie artists, while accelerating the establishment of a systematic management system.
In addition, Chogokbam Entertainment is expected to devote its best efforts to maximizing synergy effects related to drama production, which is the core business of its parent company Chogokbam Media, a leading domestic drama production company that holds popular IP (intellectual property).
