SEVENTEEN Ranks First in Boy Group Brand Reputation, Surpassing BTS and Stray Kids

SEVENTEEN has claimed the top spot in boy group brand reputation.

According to the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, the analysis of big data for boy group brand reputation in February 2025 revealed SEVENTEEN in first place, followed by BTS in second and Stray Kids in third.

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute measured 54,563,744 pieces of big data on boy group brands from January 8, 2025, to February 8, 2025, analyzing consumer behavior to assess participation index, media index, communication index, and community index for boy group brands. This is a 24.72% decrease compared to the 62,649,153 pieces of brand big data from January.

The brand reputation index is a metric created through brand big data analysis, which finds that consumers' online habits significantly influence brand consumption. The analysis of boy group brand reputation can measure positive and negative evaluations, media interest, and the level of consumer interest and communication. Data from consumer participation in brand reputation recommendations is also included as weighted factors.

SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino), which recorded first place in boy group brand reputation, had a participation index of 215,364, media index of 1,333,858, communication index of 1,900,668, and community index of 1,968,937, resulting in a brand reputation index of 5,418,828. This is a 35.23% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 8,366,546 in January.

BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook), which ranked second, had a participation index of 121,793, media index of 1,204,295, communication index of 1,594,426, and community index of 2,267,909, resulting in a brand reputation index of 5,188,423. This is a 24.33% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 6,856,676 in January.

Stray Kids (Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, I.N), which ranked third, had a participation index of 108,573, media index of 638,544, communication index of 925,576, and community index of 956,208, resulting in a brand reputation index of 2,628,900. This is a 28.88% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 3,696,264 in January.

BIGBANG (G-Dragon, Taeyang, Daesung), which ranked fourth, had a participation index of 149,124, media index of 847,685, communication index of 727,595, and community index of 807,436, resulting in a brand reputation index of 2,531,841. This is a 43.01% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 4,442,349 in January.

TO1 (Shin Yu, Dohun, Youngjae, Han Jin, Jihoon, Kyungmin), which ranked fifth, had a participation index of 103,093, media index of 594,531, communication index of 759,704, and community index of 997,752, resulting in a brand reputation index of 2,455,079. This is a 26.78% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 3,353,006 in January.

Director Koo Chang-hwan stated, “According to the big data analysis of boy group brand reputation in February 2025, SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) ranked first. The boy group brand category saw a 24.72% decrease compared to the 72,481,754 pieces of boy group brand big data in January. A detailed analysis shows a decrease in brand consumption by 11.79%, brand issues by 22.84%, brand communication by 22.17%, and brand spread by 28.73%.”

He continued, “In the link analysis of the SEVENTEEN brand, the terms ‘perform, dominate, reserve’ were highly analyzed. In the keyword analysis, ‘commemorative medal, Asia tour, CARAT’ were highly analyzed. The positive-negative ratio analysis showed a positive ratio of 92.21%. A detailed analysis of SEVENTEEN's brand reputation shows an increase in brand consumption by 11.06%, an increase in brand issues by 9.98%, a decrease in brand communication by 35.97%, and a decrease in brand spread by 50.67%.”

The ranking of the top 30 boy group brand reputations in February 2025 is as follows: SEVENTEEN, BTS, Stray Kids, BIGBANG, TO1, EXO, SHINee, ENHYPEN, Super Junior, NCT, THE BOYZ, INFINITE, ZEROBASEONE, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, BTOB, MONSTA X, ASTRO, RISE, GOT7, TVXQ, WANNA ONE, BOYNEXTDOOR, 2PM, CRAVITY, TREASURE, ONEUS, ONF, EVEN, VIXX, and HIGHLIGHT.
