The lovely second child of Lee Jung-hyun from ‘Pyeon Restaurant’ has been revealed for the first time.
In the episode of KBS2’s ‘New Menu Launch Pyeon Restaurant’ (hereafter ‘Pyeon Restaurant’) aired on the 17th, Lee Jung-hyun finally met her eagerly awaited second child. True to the name "Bok-dong," which means a bundle of joy, this child came as a gift to Lee Jung-hyun's family. The adorable Bok-dong closely resembles her dad and sister, creating a touching moment for the family. The broadcast recorded a viewership rating of 4.4% (based on Nielsen Korea nationwide), showing an increase from the previous week.
As the birth of her second child approached, Lee Jung-hyun packed her bags with a nervous heart. Among the items was the swaddle that her first child, Seo-ah, used as a newborn. Lost in memories for a moment, Lee Jung-hyun asked Seo-ah, “Will you take good care of your little sister when she comes out?” and “Mom is going to meet your sister. Can you get along well with dad?” Lee Jung-hyun hoped that Seo-ah would feel a bit sad and hold her back, but Seo-ah remained surprisingly calm, leaving Lee Jung-hyun feeling a bit disappointed.
A little later, sensing the unusual atmosphere, Seo-ah clung to her mom with all her might, saying, “Don’t go, mom,” and “Let’s go together, mom.” Lee Jung-hyun smiled happily as she held Seo-ah in her arms. She then prepared a quick meal of Namul Bibimbap in 10 minutes and Doenjang Soup in 5 minutes, enjoying a delicious meal with her husband. She also made a simple yolk sauce to ensure her husband could eat well while she was in the hospital.
On the day of the birth, Lee Jung-hyun cheerfully said, “Bok-dong, I’ll see you soon,” as she confidently headed to the operating room. When her husband asked, “Don’t I seem strange?” in response to her question, he kindly replied, “You look like a girl.” Perhaps because she was about to give birth, Lee Jung-hyun felt emotional and teared up at her husband’s words. She expressed her anxiety and tension, saying, “I’m so scared. Nothing will happen, right?”
Moments later, with a cry of “Waaah,” Bok-dong finally entered the world. Lee Jung-hyun greeted her newborn with joy, saying, “Bok-dong, it’s mom.” Bok-dong, who closely resembles her older sister Seo-ah, seemed to respond to her mother’s greeting by opening one eye, bringing tears of joy. Lee Jung-hyun’s husband also felt happiness at the arrival of their gift, Bok-dong. The next day, Lee Jung-hyun couldn’t hide her surprise at seeing Bok-dong, who looked just like her husband and Seo-ah.
As time passed, on the day of discharge, Seo-ah came to the hospital to see her mom after four days. Snuggled in her mother’s arms, Seo-ah seemed awkward when she first saw her little sister, turning her head and saying, “I don’t like it.” However, she soon mustered the courage to slowly approach her sister. Lee Jung-hyun then said to Seo-ah, “Seo-ah, congratulations. You’re a big sister now.”
After the VCR was shown, the ‘Pyeon Restaurant’ family had a video call with Lee Jung-hyun. Greeting them with a bright smile, she revealed for the first time that her second child’s name is ‘Seo-woo,’ receiving congratulations. Although Seo-ah initially felt awkward about her little sister, she has now transformed into a caring big sister. Seo-ah lovingly patted her sister, saying, “You’re pretty,” and “I’ll protect you,” which touched the hearts of viewers on Friday evening.

In this episode, the results of the ‘Pyeon Restaurant’ New Year special menu competition were revealed. The winners of this competition, where one convenience store menu and one meal kit menu were released, were Ryu Soo-young and Yoon Jong-hoon. Ryu Soo-young’s Jjimi Chae Rice will be available at convenience stores nationwide, while Yoon Jong-hoon’s Flower Doritang Noodles will be released as a meal kit in online markets.
