Astro's Cha Eun-woo has secured the top spot in the boy group individual brand reputation ranking.
According to the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, the big data analysis results for boy group individual brand reputation in January 2025 revealed that Cha Eun-woo of Astro ranked first, followed by G-Dragon of Big Bang in second place and Jin of BTS in third.
The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute extracted 71,265,079 pieces of big data on 745 individual boy group members from December 18, 2024, to January 18, 2025, to analyze consumer behavior regarding boy group individual brands. The analysis was based on participation index, media index, communication index, and community index to determine the brand reputation index. Compared to the previous December's big data of 84,468,623 for boy groups, this represents a decrease of 15.63%.
The brand reputation index is an indicator created through big data analysis that identifies how consumers' online habits significantly influence brand consumption. Through the analysis of boy group individual brand reputation, it is possible to measure positive and negative evaluations, media interest, and the level of consumer engagement and communication regarding individual boy group brands. The analysis also included brand value assessment to measure brand influence and qualitative evaluations from brand reputation monitoring. The analysis included recommendation indicators weighted accordingly.
Cha Eun-woo of Astro, who ranked first in the boy group individual brand reputation, had a participation index of 1,332,718, media index of 1,055,119, communication index of 1,945,287, and community index of 1,768,750, resulting in a brand reputation index of 6,101,873. This is a 14.36% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 5,335,804 from the previous December.
G-Dragon of Big Bang, who ranked second, had a participation index of 1,260,454, media index of 599,834, communication index of 1,399,035, and community index of 1,728,166, resulting in a brand reputation index of 4,987,489. This is a 35.10% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 7,685,320 from the previous December.
Jin of BTS, who ranked third, had a participation index of 171,825, media index of 471,613, communication index of 1,361,112, and community index of 1,568,089, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,572,639. This is a 32.55% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 5,296,716 from the previous December.
Jungkook of BTS, who ranked fourth, had a participation index of 110,726, media index of 317,093, communication index of 1,556,391, and community index of 1,333,300, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,317,509. This is a 41.20% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 2,349,473 from the previous December.
Jimin of BTS, who ranked fifth, had a participation index of 190,946, media index of 392,663, communication index of 1,255,170, and community index of 1,202,541, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,041,320. This is an 8.55% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 2,801,882 from the previous December.
Director Koo Chang-hwan stated, "According to the big data analysis results for boy group individual brand reputation in January 2025, Astro's Cha Eun-woo brand ranked first. Analyzing the boy group individual brand category, it shows a 15.63% decrease compared to the previous December's big data of 84,468,623. A detailed analysis reveals a 20.42% decrease in brand consumption, a 13.09% decrease in brand issues, a 7.47% decrease in brand communication, and a 19.88% decrease in brand spread."
He continued, "In the link analysis for January 2025, the Cha Eun-woo brand that ranked first showed high scores for 'intense, cool, advertise,' and in the keyword analysis, 'face genius, living in Finland, gaze' were highly analyzed. The positive ratio analysis showed a positive ratio of 92.04%."
