Conductor Baek Yoon-hak revealed the reason for conducting while dancing.
On the broadcast of tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ on the 2nd, Baek Yoon-hak, who has become a topic of discussion as the ‘dancing conductor’, appeared as a guest.
On that day, Yoo Jae-suk asked, “When I think of a conductor, a solemn and serious image comes to mind, but I think this is the first time I’ve seen someone conduct while dancing. Have you always conducted while dancing?” Baek Yoon-hak replied, “Honestly, I didn’t do it to dance. I thought conducting was about showing movements that fit the music. I believe it’s appropriate to do this for animation music.”
One orchestra member said, “Actually, I first saw the teacher on YouTube. I happened to come across a video of him conducting. I wondered how I managed to hold back my laughter while watching it.” Another member added, “I tried various methods to hold back my laughter. At first, I closed my eyes. But that didn’t work, so I pinched my thigh. Later, when I got home, I found it was bruised blue. Now I’ve gotten used to it and just laugh.”
