Pocketdol Studio has provided an additional statement regarding the controversy surrounding the concurrent activities of the JTBC audition program ‘Project 7’.
On the 11th, Pocketdol Studio (hereafter referred to as Pocketdol) stated, “While the production team communicated with Jimin (Jeon Min-wook) and Sakurada Kenshin regarding their participation in ‘Project 7’, once the two were selected for the debut group, they began communicating with their parents, excluding their original agency.”
They also added, “Since they are entertainers with an agency, it is natural that future schedules should be discussed and decided with the agency. Nevertheless, they are communicating with family and acquaintances while excluding the agency. We have requested that they refrain from direct communication.”
Pocketdol stated, “Such audition programs have not existed before, and we believe that such incidents should not occur in the future,” and added, “In response to questions about where the members are staying, they only mentioned that they are living autonomously in a safe environment without sharing basic information. This fact was also specified in the statement released on the 10th. It is extremely regrettable that communication with the original agency has been blocked.”
Pocketdol further emphasized, “The agency’s decision to allow artists to participate in audition programs is based on trust. However, the ‘Project 7’ team has broken that trust first, and the consequences are now evident. We will be submitting a petition to the Korea Entertainment Management Association and the Korea Entertainment Producers Association,” reiterating that the responsibility lies with the ‘Project 7’ team.
Previously, on the 10th, Pocketdol indicated that the ‘Project 7’ production team initially agreed to concurrent activities but changed their stance to state that concurrent activities were not possible once the agency's artist was selected for the debut group, hinting at legal action.
