The girl group aespa has won the Grand Prize at the 'Golden Disc' Awards.
On the 4th, aespa embraced the prestigious Grand Prize at the '39th Golden Disc Awards' held at Fukuoka PayPay Dome in Japan.
The '39th Golden Disc Awards', which was scheduled to take place over two days on the 4th and 5th, was supposed to be broadcast live on JTBC2 and JTBC4 at 6 PM on the day; however, due to the Jeju Air passenger plane tragedy, the live broadcast and red carpet schedule were canceled and replaced with a recorded broadcast.
According to the award results for the digital music category released on the 5th before the broadcast, aespa won the Grand Prize, while NewJeans, DAY6, BIBI, IVE, IU, ILY:1, aespa, Taeyeon, TO1, and (G)I-DLE received the main awards.
The late Shin Hae-chul was named in the Golden Honorable Choice, and NewJeans achieved two awards by winning the Cosmopolitan Artist Award following the main award.
The recorded broadcast for the digital music category of the 'Golden Disc Awards' will air at midnight on the 6th, and the album category will be broadcast at 1:20 AM on the 7th.
