Netflix has denied rumors that Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio will appear in ‘Squid Game’ Season 3.
A Netflix representative stated on the 1st, “The claim that Leonardo DiCaprio will appear in ‘Squid Game’ Season 3 is a baseless rumor.”
On the same day, a media outlet reported that Leonardo DiCaprio would be featured in ‘Squid Game’ Season 3, claiming that he had secretly completed filming in the United States.
‘Squid Game’ Season 2 became the most-watched series on Netflix based on its first week of release. According to Netflix's official site, ‘Netflix Top 10’, ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 recorded a total of 68 million views worldwide during its first week of release (December 23-29). The total viewing time was 487.6 million hours.
Netflix is expected to release Season 3 this year. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk previously mentioned in an interview, “I think we will announce the release date for Season 3 soon after Season 2 is launched. It is expected to be released around next summer or fall.”
