Singer Kim Jaejoong's mother revealed the reason for adopting him despite having eight daughters.

Kim Jaejoong mentioned, "I have eight older sisters and eight brothers-in-law. I have 13 nieces and nephews. My nieces and nephews are starting to get married. If they have children, I will become a grandfather."
The MCs asked, "I heard that Kim Jaejoong is the child his mother embraced as her own. Do you remember your first meeting?" To this, Kim Jaejoong's mother replied, "I can't forget it," recalling, "When he was three years old, a friend brought him to me and said, 'This child has a situation, why don't you try raising him?' I had many children and didn't think I could raise another, but they said, 'If it's you, you'll raise him.'"
She continued, "When I saw him, he was so beautiful, with bright eyes and cuteness. I thought, 'How could I let go of such a child?' When I held him, he called me 'mom.' That touched my heart. I thought, 'From now on, I will raise you as my son.' The moment he called me mom while I was holding him, how could I give him away? He hugged my neck and called me mom. I said, 'I may not be able to raise you well from now on, but let's live together as best as we can.' Since there were many children, I added one more spoon and served one more bowl of rice, and we accepted him into our family despite our limited means."
Kim Jaejoong's mother also said, "As I accepted him, he grew up wonderfully and is a devoted son. There is no other son like him in the world. I am grateful," showing tears.
Kim Jaejoong expressed, "I am thankful. Regardless of the reasons, I believe that raising me healthily is everything. When family stories come up on 'Pyeonstorang,' many people around me ask questions. To me, it's a very natural thing, but they call me a devoted son.
