In tvN's ‘That Guy is a Black Dragon’, Choi Hyun-wook makes an appearance at Moon Ga-young's family gathering, showcasing the bold flirting of the 'assault-type younger boss'.
tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama ‘That Guy is a Black Dragon’ (directed by Lee Soo-hyun/written by Kim Soo-yeon/produced by Studio N/planned by Studio Dragon) tells the story of 'Department Head Killer' team leader Baek Soo-jung, who suffers from the pain of a first love that has become a dark history, and 'third-generation chaebol' department head Ban Joo-yeon, who lives while hiding her inner fan persona, the Black Dragon. The drama depicts the sweet reunion of two people who met in an online game as children and ended up with the worst relationship, as they meet again at work.
‘That Guy is a Black Dragon’ has painted the living rooms pink with the romantic chemistry between Moon Ga-young (as Baek Soo-jung) and Choi Hyun-wook (as Ban Joo-yeon), surpassing a 5% viewership rating and showing a steep upward trend, establishing itself as a representative romantic comedy of tvN. (Based on Nielsen Korea) Additionally, it topped the charts in 136 countries overseas during its first week of airing on the global OTT platform Rakuten Viki, garnering praise from international fans.
In the recent episode 6 of ‘That Guy is a Black Dragon’, Joo-yeon recalls a drunken kiss with Soo-jung and risks exposing her hidden Black Dragon persona as she rushes to where Soo-jung is, showcasing the fearless direct flirting of the 'assault-type younger boss'. As a result, attention is focused on whether Soo-jung will respond to Joo-yeon's feelings, and the direction of their pink-tinted relationship is under scrutiny.
Amidst this, stills released show Joo-yeon appearing at Soo-jung's family gathering, raising curiosity about the background. In the stills, Joo-yeon is seen leading the atmosphere with open arms as if she is the host of the family gathering, capturing the attention of viewers. Meanwhile, Won-seob (played by Ko Chang-seok) is seen matching the rhythm with Joo-yeon, who is Soo-jung's boss and only daughter. On the other hand, Soo-jung appears surprised and unable to hide her embarrassment, with wide eyes as if she did not expect Joo-yeon's appearance, adding to the curiosity about the situation.
Additionally, the tense standoff between Joo-yeon and Soo-jung's younger sister Soo-bin (played by Son Sang-yeon), who meet for the first time at the family gathering, draws attention. Soo-bin seems to be giving a warning as she places her hand on Joo-yeon's shoulder, sending a fiery glare. In particular, Soo-jung's remark, "I don't see the department head as a man. He's the same age as my younger sister Baek Soo-bin," raises curiosity about how Joo-yeon, who was disheartened by this comment, will react upon meeting Soo-bin.
What could be the reason for Joo-yeon's appearance at Soo-jung's family gathering? Expectations are building for Joo-yeon's bold advances towards Soo-jung after realizing her feelings.
tvN's ‘That Guy is a Black Dragon’ airs at 8:50 PM on the 10th.
