Joo Byeong-jin visited a tarot shop in Hongdae with his 22-year-younger matchmaker Choi Ji-in to check their compatibility.
In the episode of tvN story's entertainment show 'Can We Love Now' aired on the 16th, the two grew closer while sharing a heartfelt lunchbox prepared by Choi Ji-in.
Choi Ji-in asked 66-year-old Joo Byeong-jin, “Why haven’t you married yet?” and Joo Byeong-jin replied, “I have 58,000 reasons, but I tried to eliminate anything that could be a burden, only to encounter an unexpected obstacle,” adding, “The powerful obstacle of ‘age’ appeared and started to attack me.” He continued, “I say I have no regrets, but in fact, I have given up, I have surrendered.”
In an interview with the production team, Joo Byeong-jin said, “I thought it was a bit of a burdensome question to discuss only the current feelings. If we were both younger, we might have felt emotions differently because it’s an age full of passion. I felt it was something I couldn’t dare to talk about.”
The fortune teller who checked their tarot compatibility continued, “Choi Ji-in, who drew the card of lovers kissing, shows that the woman is expressing herself actively,” calling it “the best card.”
