Lunaite Kael will participate in the first pitch ceremony to wish for victory in professional volleyball.
Kael will serve as the first pitcher at the match between Korea Electric Power Corporation Big Storm and OK Savings Bank, which will be held on the afternoon of the 13th at Suwon Indoor Gymnasium during the 2024-2025 V-League.
As the tallest member of the team at 186 cm and having played volleyball until his sophomore year in college, expectations are high for this first pitch.
Earlier this year, he attended a women's professional basketball game for the 2023-2024 season, where he threw the first pitch and performed a special show. In September, he showcased his athletic skills by serving as both the first pitcher and first batter alongside Takuma at the 2024 KBO League game between LG Twins and Lotte Giants.
Stepping onto the volleyball court for the first time in about four years, Kael expressed his excitement through his agency Fantagio, saying, “It feels new and thrilling to come as a first pitcher rather than a player. It has been my dream to throw the first pitch on the court after quitting volleyball and preparing to be an idol, and I am grateful for this opportunity to fulfill my dream.”
He added, “I hope you all can win with my energy. I will always support you. Go, KEPCO!”
Lunaite released their third mini-album ‘AWAKENING’ in August, showcasing a hip yet refreshing charm with the title track ‘WHIP’. With this activity, Lunaite achieved their highest initial album sales and topped the iTunes album charts in six regions, continuing their rapid rise both domestically and internationally.
