Broadcaster Lee Soo-geun offered realistic advice to a client who was a victim of a loan scam.

On the broadcast of KBS Joy's entertainment show 'Ask Anything', which aired on the 2nd, a participant shared their story of being scammed by a trusted representative.

The participant explained that they had taken out a loan to help the pub they were managing, which was struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they claimed to have been fired two months later. They added, “There are multiple victims. If I pursue this alone, it’s a civil case, but I heard that if several people join together, it can become a criminal case.”

Hearing this, Seo Jang-hoon advised, “Even if you go to court, it will take a long time, and since you have 12 million won left, you should grit your teeth and pay back 1 million won a month, and it should be settled in about a year.”

Lee Soo-geun also said, “You need to think about increasing your work to pay it back somehow. Even if you have a small hope that ‘I will receive it someday,’ there’s no one who has received it. It really seems that the person who scams others won’t pay back.”

Previously, Lee Jin-ho revealed in October, “I started playing games on an illegal online gambling site by chance in 2020, and I ended up with debts that I couldn’t handle.” It was also reported that during this process, Lee Soo-geun, who had collaborated with Lee Jin-ho on the JTBC show 'Knowing Bros', lent him tens of millions of won, adding to the shock.
