Trot singer Eun Ga-eun has notified her agency, TSM Entertainment, of the termination of her exclusive contract. She is also planning to proceed with a lawsuit.
On the 28th, Eun Ga-eun's legal representative, Attorney Lim Sa-ra, told Maeil Business Star Today, "We have sent a certified letter to the agency TSM Entertainment," confirming the notice of contract termination. Attorney Lim explained that "the agency has hindered the scheduling and production of new songs, and the settlement payments have not been made. Even when we requested supporting documents for the payment, they have not provided them."
According to Attorney Lim, Eun Ga-eun signed a 5-year exclusive contract with TSM Entertainment, which is set to expire in the spring of 2025. Eun Ga-eun has been requesting supporting documents regarding the settlement payments and expenses for over a month, but has not received any information, making it impossible to determine the amount that remains unpaid. Attorney Lim stated, "It seems we will have to obtain the documents through a lawsuit," adding, "We are currently preparing for the lawsuit."
Meanwhile, Eun Ga-eun debuted as a ballad singer in 2013 before transitioning to a trot singer. She gained significant popularity after finishing 7th in the TV Chosun competition program 'Miss Trot 2' aired in 2022. She is set to marry singer Park Hyun-ho, who is 5 years younger, on April 5, 2025.
