Who will be the winners of the grand prize, gold, silver, and bronze awards? The fierce competition is expected to draw attention.

The released photos capture the participants' performances as they travel back in time from 2025 to the 1980s. The stage, set against the backdrop of 1980s Seoul, sparkles with incandescent bulbs instead of LEDs, and airplane balloons float in the air, catching the eye. The 80s-themed stage truly evokes memories and nostalgia. The participants also complete their styling with 80s fashion, hair, and props, creating an illusion of returning to that era.

The first participant to open the music festival is the legendary singer Yoon Do-hyun, raising expectations. While everyone else is engaged in a battle for performance order, Yoon Do-hyun shows composure by saying, “The order doesn’t matter,” and makes a striking entrance as the actual ‘participant number 1’. He ignites the stage with ‘You Who I Happened to Meet (Songgolmae)’ while encouraging applause from the audience. Yoo Jae-suk, watching in awe from the MC seat, exclaims, “It’s intense from the start,” raising curiosity about what kind of powerful performance it was.

Following him, Solar performs ‘Beautiful River Mountain (Lee Sun-hee)’, Jung Sung-hwa performs ‘Recollection of Kim Sung-ho (Kim Sung-ho)’, IVE's Liz performs ‘Wind, Stop (Lee Ji-yeon)’, Wooz performs ‘Last Concert (Lee Seung-chul)’, Park Young-kyu performs ‘We Are (Song Chang-sik)’, and Ha Dong-kyun performs ‘A Dream of Someone (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter)’. Each performance is adorned with diverse 80s-style stage productions and effects, piquing curiosity. MC Kim Hee-ae, fully immersed in the emotions of that time, hums along to the songs, raising anticipation for what kind of stages the participants will present.

The audience also enters dressed in 80s dress code, creating a unified atmosphere. The finals of the ‘80s Seoul Music Festival’ can be seen on MBC’s ‘What Do You Do When You Play?’ airing on Saturday, September 27th at 6:30 PM.
