Hoshi of the group SEVENTEEN will enlist in the military following Woozi. He is the fourth member to do so.
On the 16th, Hoshi will enter the army training center for active duty service, where he will undergo 5 weeks of basic military training before being assigned to his unit. His expected discharge date is March 15, 2027.
On the 15th, a day before his enlistment, Hoshi held a live broadcast through the official fan community Weverse to say his final goodbyes to fans.
Continuing to communicate with fans, Hoshi said, “As you all know, I will be enlisting tomorrow. I will go and come back healthy. Please don’t worry too much,” sharing his thoughts ahead of enlistment.
He then revealed his short hairstyle, saying, “It feels real now that I’ve shaved my head. I think my mind has become more serious now. So please don’t worry, I will really do well and come back. Please don’t worry too much,” he conveyed.
SEVENTEEN has been gradually entering a military hiatus since Jeonghan enlisted last September. Wonwoo began alternative service in April this year, and Woozi enlisted on September 15.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN kicked off their world tour 'NEW_' at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on the 13th-14th and will head to Hong Kong, North America, Japan, and more.
