Actress Lee Da-hae revealed the late news of losing her beloved pet dog, which she raised like a child, and opened the funeral.
On the 5th, Lee Da-hae posted on her SNS, “My dear Grayton, whom I loved so much... No, I still love so much, and will forever remain in my heart, has crossed the rainbow bridge. It has already been three months, but I still can't believe it. Until the last moment, he left my side looking lovely and beautiful,” she stated.
She expressed that it was hard to accept the separation from her pet, which was like family, saying, “I was tormented and in pain with countless thoughts, and above all, I missed him so much that I cried every day. Quite some time has passed, but my phone wallpaper, photos and videos in albums, and every corner of the house are still filled with Grayton's traces.”
According to Lee Da-hae, Grayton had two stents implanted due to bronchial stenosis, and in the end, he could not breathe on his own due to laryngeal paralysis and relied on an oxygen respirator. She recalled, “Even in that moment when he was almost unconscious due to painkillers and sleeping pills, it was so painful and heartbreaking to see him trying to lift his small body to come into my arms when he heard my voice.”
At the funeral, a small coffin surrounded by flowers and a photo of the couple with their pet dog were placed. Lee Da-hae added, “I am not trying to force myself to erase it, nor am I trying to hold back my tears; I want to continue to be with him in my heart,” and said, “Believing that we can meet again at the rainbow bridge, I was able to smile little by little.”
In the end, she conveyed her heartfelt feelings, saying, “Let’s definitely meet again, mom. I love you, our baby.”
Meanwhile, Lee Da-hae married singer Seven in 2023 after a 7-year public relationship. The couple does not have children and has been raising their pet dog Grayton together since before their marriage.
