Travel YouTuber and broadcaster GwakTube (33, real name Gwak Jun-bin) announced his marriage and shared the news that he has become a father.
On the 8th, GwakTube posted content titled "Announcing a New Beginning in Life" on his YouTube channel.
GwakTube visited a park in his hometown of Busan and said, "I had to muster a lot of courage to come here today. The last thing I said was that I wouldn't talk about heavy topics in the future. It's a serious topic, but it's not a heavy story."
He continued, "A lot has happened during my five years on YouTube. I have achieved many items on my bucket list," and mentioned, "In the meantime, I met my girlfriend. I met her before I became famous. We dated, then got busy and broke up, but after some time, we met again. We became a greater comfort to each other."
GwakTube said, "My girlfriend is much younger than me, but she is someone who boosts my self-esteem. She is a friend who takes care of me, who is not much to speak of," and added, "I said my goal was to get married quickly. I wanted to make it public when I found someone to marry. I really wanted to tell you all."
Then, revealing the marriage news, GwakTube said, "I booked the venue first. I was preparing for May next year, but I recently found out that while preparing for the wedding, a greater blessing came, and I became a father. We became three. So we decided to move the wedding up. We will get married in October."
He expressed his affection for his fiancée, saying, "Since I was young, I had a strong desire to create my own family. I had a big romantic notion about being a father. I wanted to be a good parent like my own parents. I thought I could get married if I was with this friend."
GwakTube stated, "I always wanted to communicate. I apologize for informing you at such a late stage, and I will think about what to do after getting married. I will show you a happy and mature version of myself."
Travel creator GwakTube has been operating his YouTube channel 'GwakTube' since 2018. He has appeared on various TV entertainment programs and is active in multiple fields. He is currently appearing on ENA·EBS1's 'Choo Sung-hoon's Meal Value' and MBN's 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2'.
According to his agency SM C&C, his wedding will be held privately, with only family and close friends invited.
