Broadcaster Kim Byung-man recently confessed to having an extramarital child, and his ex-wife has shared her feelings.
In an interview with Women's Sense magazine on the 8th, ex-wife A stated, "After the divorce, I couldn't sleep without sleeping pills for a while. I have overcome a lot now. Then I found out that Kim Byung-man had a close relationship with another woman." She added, "Even when people around me said there would be a woman, I thought, 'He wouldn't do that.' I was shocked."
A claimed that she did not take Kim Byung-man's money without permission or sign up for insurance without consent using his life as collateral, and she has never refused to get pregnant.
Regarding the allegation that she embezzled 670 million won from Kim Byung-man's assets, she rebutted, "I was only in the process of buying a house with the funds for housing. Whenever something happened that Kim Byung-man didn't like, he would change the certificate and take away my economic rights, then return it."
She explained that she initially transferred the 600 million won deposit for the house they were living in to her account in the spring of 2019, and after gathering the money that was divided into several accounts, it amounted to 670 million won. She stated that she intended to buy a house with additional loans.
Regarding the suspicion that she secretly signed up for 24 life insurance policies, she claimed that they were 24 general insurance policies, not life insurance, and only 4 were life insurance. She clarified that she only signed up for cross insurance designating her daughter as a beneficiary with Kim Byung-man's consent to reduce inheritance tax, and that she had no intention of targeting Kim Byung-man's money.
Additionally, she denied the claim that she demanded 3 billion won as a condition for accepting the adoption termination, stating that she never wanted the termination or demanded that amount.
Finally, A stated that she has never lived lavishly with Kim Byung-man's money or hidden any assets, and she demanded a sincere apology from him. She concluded by expressing her desire to finish the lawsuit with Kim Byung-man and live her own life.

A married broadcaster Kim Byung-man in 2011 but divorced in 2023 following a Supreme Court ruling. During this process, Kim Byung-man filed a complaint against A for violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes, and A filed a complaint against Kim Byung-man for habitual assault. Both complaints were concluded with 'no charges.'
Kim Byung-man adopted A's daughter as his legal child at the time of their marriage, but after the divorce was finalized, he requested the court to terminate the adoption, which was rejected twice before being accepted in August, thus ending their legal father-child relationship.
Recently, Kim Byung-man revealed the existence of his remarried wife and two children through TV Chosun's "Lovers of Joseon," showcasing his new married life in Jeju. In the broadcast, he stated, "My remarried wife is my ex-girlfriend, and we met again during the divorce proceedings," and expressed, "My past marriage was a pitfall. Everything is my choice, so I can say it was a failure," drawing attention.
Kim Byung-man's remarried wife will hold their wedding on the 20th at the Sebit Island in the Han River, Seoul.
